At Jackman Optometry, our goal is to promote good eye health, enabling you to have the clearest vision possible. We inform patients about exam and treatment costs at the beginning of your appointment. If you require a breakdown of costs, please let us know. Our Orange office accepts several types of vision insurance, medical insurance, cash, checks, credit cards, and bitcoin.
The staff at Jackman Optometry is knowledgeable and experienced in working with vision insurance providers. We help you understand your insurance coverage, as well as answer any questions you may have regarding your benefits. We can also work directly with you and your insurer to submit claims. Many vision plans cover most of the basic vision-related costs, but not all costs associated with eye care. Most plans require a co-payment for office appointments, as well as additional costs to be covered by the insured patient.

Many employers are offering Flexible Spending Account (FSA) or Health Savings Account (HSA) options to employees. Sometimes these are referred to as cafeteria plans and are elective, supplemental insurance savings plans. These plans are designed to let you save money in an account, pre-tax, to pay for additional medical expenses such as eye exams, glasses, contacts, and often laser vision surgery. FSAs can typically be used in conjunction with any vision insurance plan to offset any out-of-pocket costs on your behalf. Check with the benefits administrator at your work to see if you are eligible for this program.
Dr. Jackman understands that cost is a concern when evaluating vision care providers, but does not want it to be an obstacle to maintaining your proper eye health and good vision. Jackman Optometry accepts various forms of payment and we are able to discuss financing options with you prior to any examination. Our Orange office also accepts cash, checks, and major credit cards.
